  • SmallAfrica Mobile App (Google Play)

  • SmallAfrica Web Platforms (smallafrica.com.au and related services)

If you are not satisfied with our policy or our response to any complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) – details are provided at the end of this policy.

This Privacy Policy complies with the Australian Privacy Act 1988, Google Play Developer Program Policies, and other relevant data protection laws.


A. Privacy Policy for SmallAfrica Mobile App (Google Play)

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information

    • Email address and username  (required for registration, login, recovery, and communication).

    • Password (stored securely with hashing and salting).

    • Optional profile photo for personalization.

  • Non-Personal Information

    • Device information (device type, operating system, usage data).

  • Payment Information

    • Payment details are never stored on our servers. Processing is handled securely by Stripe and PayPal in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

  • What We Do NOT Collect

    • We do not collect or track SMS, contacts, or precise GPS location.

      • We do not collect precise or background location data from your device.

      • If need be, Users may manually select a location (e.g., choosing a city or country) to personalize content.

      • Version 1 doeos not have this location select yet. In future updates, when this selct location comes to live, we shall up[date users about this ,,


2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage accounts.

  • To provide secure login access.

  • To improve app functionality and performance.

  • To process payments via Stripe/PayPal.

  • To communicate important updates, security notices, or account issues.


3. Data Storage & Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/HTTPS) and stored in secure, encrypted databases.

  • Passwords are hashed and salted before storage.

  • Servers are protected by firewalls, monitoring, and regular updates.

  • Access to data is strictly limited to authorized personnel.


4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers or third parties. The only external services used are:

  • Stripe – secure payment processing

  • PayPal – secure payment processing

Both providers are trusted and maintain strict privacy and compliance standards.


5. User Rights & Controls

  • Content Deletion: Users can delete uploaded content anytime within the app. Deleted content is removed from active systems, though temporary backups may exist for legal/technical purposes.

  • Account Deletion: Users may request account deletion by emailing support@feedyblockz.org from the registered address. Once verified, the account and all associated data will be permanently deleted. users can also fillthe contact form on the link proovided to request account deletion .smallafrica.com.au/contact

  • Data Access/Correction: Users may request access to or correction of stored personal data.


6. Age Recommendation

  • The app is friendly for all ages.

  • We recommend use by ages 16+, but this is not enforced.

  • Parents/guardians are encouraged to supervise usage for younger users.


7. Security Commitment

If we become aware of a data breach, we will take immediate steps to secure accounts and notify affected users via their registered email address.


8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Any updates will be posted here with an updated “Last Modified” date. Continued use of the app means you accept the changes.

B. Privacy Policy for SmallAfrica Web Platforms (smallafrica.com.au)

1. Data Protection and Privacy Rights

We collect and process personal information in compliance with the Privacy Act 1988. Users have the right to access, correct, and request deletion of their data.


2. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information

    • Name, email, business details, phone (optional except email).

    • Payment info for invoices (not stored on our servers).

    • Other information users voluntarily provide.

  • Public Information

    • Business contact info can be displayed publicly at the user’s discretion.

    • Privacy settings allow control over visibility.

  • User Interaction

    • Users can react to business listings, send messages through contact forms, and block unwanted contacts.


3. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is stored on secure servers with encryption and firewalls.

  • Users are notified promptly in case of suspected breaches.


4. Non-Personal Data

We use cookies and analytics to improve functionality and measure traffic.


5. Use of Data

  • To connect users with businesses and services.

  • To geographically classify businesses (via Google Maps).

  • To respond to inquiries and platform changes.


6. Third-Party Sharing

  • We do not share,  trade, selling, or unauthorized sharing of personal data.

  • Payment providers (PayPal, ANZ, Stripe, WooCommerce) may process payments securely.)

  • Information may be disclosed if required by law or court order.


 


8. Posting Guidelines & Content Deletion

  • Users must post accurate, lawful content.

  • Admins may remove false or harmful posts.

  • Users can delete their own content anytime.


9. Age Limit

The web platform is intended for users 16 and older.


10. User Data Access & Deletion

  • Users can update or delete their information anytime.

  • Accounts can be deleted upon request (unless retention is required by law).


11. Refund Policy

All payments are final and non-refundable, except in rare compassionate cases (e.g., natural disasters). Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.

Terms and Conditions for User-Submitted Advertisements

 


 

  • By submitting an advertisement, you confirm that you have the legal right, authority, and permission to promote the advertised content.


2. Prohibited Content

Advertisements must not contain, promote, or link to the following prohibited categories, including but not limited to:

  • Gambling, betting, or lottery services (including online casinos, sports betting, fantasy sports, or similar).

  • Adult content (pornography, nudity, sexual services, or sexually suggestive material).

  • Illegal products or services (weapons, drugs, counterfeit items, stolen goods, etc.).

  • Misleading, false, or deceptive claims (including “get rich quick” schemes, pyramid schemes, miracle cures, etc.).

  • Hate speech, violence, harassment, or discriminatory content based on race, gender, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.

  • Political or election-related ads unless expressly permitted by law and our platform policies.

  • Malware, spyware, phishing, or harmful software.

  • Any other category restricted by Google Play Developer Policies or applicable local/national laws.


3. Content Standards

  • All advertisements must be clear, accurate, and respectful.

  • Users must not impersonate another business, person, or entity.

  • Advertisements must not contain copyrighted content, logos, or trademarks without proper authorization.


4. Review and Moderation

  • All advertisements are subject to review before being published.

  • Submission does not guarantee approval or display of your ad.


5. Platform Rights

  • The Admin reserves the right to remove, suspend, or permanently delete any advertisement that violates these Terms & Conditions, platform rules, or legal regulations.

  • In cases of removal due to violations:

    • No refunds will be issued.

    • A formal warning will be applied to your account. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or permanent ban.


6. Refund Policy

  • Approved advertisements that are displayed are non-refundable.

  • Ads removed due to violations are not eligible for refund under any circumstances.


7. User Responsibility

  • You are solely responsible for the content of your advertisement.

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [Your Website Name], its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your advertisement.


8. Compliance with Laws

  • All users must comply with applicable local, national, and international laws related to advertising.

  • Users acknowledge that prohibited categories may vary depending on jurisdiction and platform rules.


9. Changes to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.

  • Continued use of our platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.


 


⚠️ Important Notice: By submitting an advertisement, you acknowledge that violation of these Terms may result in removal of your ad, loss of advertising privileges, warnings on your account, and permanent suspension without refund.

 


10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia . Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with these laws.
